BeforethevampiresremovethechainsfromGuillermo,theyusefour-wayhypnosisonhimandLaszlowarnsthattheoddsofGuillermobeingmentallystableafterwardareslim.Guillermoagrees,andtheytrytohypnotizehim. Guillermotellsthefilmcrewthatafteryearsofthevampireshypnotizinghim,hesimmunetovampirichypnosis.Hejustletsthemthinktheycanhypnotizehim. ThevampireshypnotizeGuillermotoneverharmthem,andheplaysalongwhenhecomesoutofhis"trance".
